GraphQL Query Builder

Build and test GraphQL queries right in your browser. Pull a schema by introspection (needs a CORS-enabled endpoint), get autocomplete suggestions from the schema types and fields, edit query variables as JSON, and inspect the response rendered as a collapsible tree. No server-side code runs — your endpoint is called directly from the page.

Schema (introspection)

Fetch a schema first, or type your query manually.

How to use the GraphQL Query Builder

Point the tool at any GraphQL endpoint to pull its schema by introspection, then build queries with autocomplete, set variables, and inspect the returned data as a collapsible tree. The endpoint is called directly from your browser.

Browser note

  • To fetch a schema, the endpoint must respond to CORS preflight requests — most public GraphQL APIs do. If it doesn't, you can still type queries manually.
  • Queries are sent over the network to the endpoint you enter. Do not use this with private or unauthenticated endpoints unless you intend to.

Steps

  • Enter the endpoint URL and click Fetch schema to load its types and fields via introspection.
  • As you type in the Query box, matching schema types and fields are suggested.
  • Fill in Variables as JSON (e.g. {"id": 1}) and click Send query.
  • The Response is shown as an indented, collapsible tree you can expand and inspect.

Great for exploring an unfamiliar API, drafting queries, or quickly testing mutations and variables before writing client code.
