How to use the JWT Decoder
Paste a JSON Web Token (JWT) to decode and inspect its header and payload. Decoding runs entirely locally, so sensitive tokens never leave your browser.
Steps
- Paste the token — a standard JWT has three dot-separated segments: header.payload.signature.
- Click Decode to view the formatted header and payload JSON side by side.
Note: the signature is not verified — this tool only decodes and pretty-prints the header and payload. It also does not reveal the token's secret.
