How to use the register data decoder
Decode register words
Select the data type (UINT16/INT16/UINT32/INT32/FLOAT32) and byte order, then enter the register word(s) as hex (space or word separated, e.g. 4120 0000 or 00 01). Click Decode to read the value. The byte order is applied before interpretation.
Encode a value
Enter a decimal or float value and click Encode value to see the register bytes that represent it under the chosen type and byte order.
Supported types and orders
- Types: UINT16, INT16 (1 register); UINT32, INT32, FLOAT32 (2 registers)
- Orders: ABCD big-endian, DCBA little-endian, BADC byte-swap, CDAB word-swap
Protocol note: The register words themselves carry no type or order marker — always confirm them from the device register table. A wrong order causes wrong readings, especially for 32-bit and float values.
